Hi, I’m Priya Gill Liaudet, a divorce lawyer and family law specialist. I qualified as a family solicitor in London in July 2011 and I have specialised in divorce and family law for over 10 years.

The events of 2020 have had a huge impact on my decision to work for myself. I have reflected on the type of lawyer I am and the best working environment for me. With the Divorce, Dissolution and Separation Bill being passed, and with No Fault Divorce finally approved, I felt that it was time for a change.

There has been movement, particularly in Family Law, where an attempt is being made to remove the ‘blame game’ from divorce and separation. This is going to help so many people have a good divorce, eliminating the animosity and vilification that blame can bring.

So now, I work for myself and I consult for Merali Beedle Limited. I can put my strong values into practice. I don’t believe in dragging out your family issue. My aim is to help you to see the light through the trees during a difficult time, so that you may start to think positively about your future.

In addition to divorce and separation, I help parents struggling with their child arrangements. I work with family mediators and specialist parenting support groups to help parents to co-parent better and reach child focussed agreements.

As a family lawyer, I also specialise in assisting couples who are not separating but forming a union and want an agreement in place to safeguard their future as much as possible. I can assist with pre nuptial and post nuptial agreements, cohabitation and separation agreements.

I deal with family matters constructively, however, I will take a firmer approach if your case requires it.

I provide a transparent and clear indication of your likely costs and these estimates are regularly updated. I charge at rates that I feel are fair and appropriate, to provide an efficient and cost-effective service.
